HOW IT ALL BEGAN…

It all started half a world away, one warm December evening on a beautiful tropical beach in the Philippines, when a boy named Mike asked a girl named Vanessa to marry him. He slipped a three stone emerald cut ring on her finger and she said YES. And in that very moment, a love for weddings was born. Not just for Vanessa, but for her sister Rosanna who joined the wedding bandwagon shortly after.

We are sisters (not twins, thanks for asking) who grew up doing everything together. We got married eight months apart and had our little girls eight weeks apart. As we have grown from girlfriends to fiances, to brides to mothers, we have never lost our passion for weddings – for what they represent and for what they mean to the millions of girls planning their dream days. in 2010, we launched RingSpotters.com where we blog about the latest in engagement rings, wedding bands and cocktail rings since 2010 and from it came the idea of Idojour.

We are an online bridal boutique offering a selection of made to order gowns, accessories and jewelry. We partner with designers, artists and craftspeople in the USA, UK and Australia who make unique bridal pieces with the highest quality and care. Nothing is outsourced or mass produced.

Because our items are made to order, you can customize your piece to fit your body and personal style so that you can make your wedding day look completely unique.

 THE TEAM

Rosanna Casper, Co-Founder

Rosanna has always been passionate about the digital space. Fascinated by the way that people were searching and shopping online, she began her career as an independent affiliate marketer. Soon after, she joined the world of advertising where she worked on interactive advertising campaigns for some of the best brands in the world. In 2011, she left the busy agency life to spend more time with her young daughter and combine her passion for digital media with her other love – weddings.


 

 

 

Vanessa Maffia,  Co-Founder

Vanessa started her career as educator, working both in the classroom and as a technology and curriculum administrator for nine years.  Her time in education reinforced her passions for technology, social networking, and the art of motivation.  Vanessa loves to put her mind on a project to see where it takes her and has always relished the creativity and gratification of creating something – whether it be a successful lesson plan, an educational website, or an engagement ring blog. Now, with Idojour, Vanessa is thrilled to channel her enthusiasm for weddings, technology, motivation, and style into this new project.  In between living and breathing weddings and style, Vanessa is a wife to a loving husband and mom to two precious children who keep her smiling and changing diapers every day.

 


Alessandra Perez-Rubio, Designer

Alessandra is the youngest sister of Vanessa and Rosanna and is in the throws of planning her very own dream wedding (an event she has been planning since she was 9). She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Communication Design and has worked in magazine, advertising and graphic design. Alessandra is the founder of Linear A—an interior design blog and service that focuses on inventive and cost effective ways to design and decorate small spaces.  She is a contributor to Young and Pretty, a new site that works with  artists and entrepreneurs to create authentic content on current cultural trends and musings in the arts.
